Evelyn S. Dilsaver

Former President & CEO, Charles Schwab Investment Management

Evelyn Dilsaver is a recognized leader in building highly motivated teams in both the public and non-profit sector. As President and CEO of Charles Schwab Investment Management, she was responsible for all facets of the business from portfolio management to product development, sales, operations and technology, growing the assets from $137 Billion to over $200 Billion in 4 short years while generating $1 Billion in revenue. At the same time, she was Chair of the Board for Women’s Initiative, a non-profit organization that helps lower income women become economically independent, by providing a one-stop organization for training, micro-finance and savings to help them start their own businesses. She took this organization through a founder transition, restructuring the board and its finances after the dot-com bust, to a healthy and growing organization serving over 2000 women annually.

Starting her career as a Certified Public Accountant with Ernst & Ernst, Evelyn spent the first 17 years of her career in the finance function as Controller for First Nationwide Bank and for The Charles Schwab Corporation and 3 years as CFO and Chief Administrative Officer for U.S. Trust, a wealth management subsidiary of Schwab. Deciding to move into general management, Evelyn was given the opportunity to hone her skills in marketing, business development, strategy, mergers and acquisition and product development, culminating in the role of President and CEO of Charles Schwab Investment Management.

Evelyn has been recognized in the community for her leadership, receiving the 2003 Filipinas Magazine Corporate Award, the San Francisco Business Times “100 Most Influential Woman award for 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007, the California Women’s Leadership Alliance Award, 2006 and Legal Momentum’s Women of Achievement award, 2007.

A sought after speaker on leadership and strategy, Evelyn has been a guest lecturer at Stanford’s Senior Executive Program for the last 10 years and has appeared on CNBC and Bloomberg TV. Evelyn is also a frequent speaker at leadership conferences such as the professional Business Women’s Conference, The Governor’s Conference for Women, California Diversity Council and the Financial Women’s Network.

Evelyn serves on the public company boards of Longs Drugs Corporation and Aeropostale, the board of High Mark Funds and three non-profit boards, Women’s Initiative, The Commonwealth Club and Bishop O’Dowd High School.
 
 

 



Alison Davis
Managing Partner, Belvedere Capital Partners

Alison Davis began her career with McKinsey and Company in 1984, working in London and New York and specializing in the banking and financial services practice. In 1993 she joined A.T. Kearney as a leader of the Global Financial Institutions Group in New York and later in San Francisco where she also took on the role of West Coast Practice Leader. Between 2000 and 2003 Alison was the CFO and Managing Director with Barclays Global Investors, the institutional money manager with over $1 trillion of assets under management, and operations in North America, Europe and Asia. Alison is a Director of First Data Corporation and Les Concierges. Alison has an MA from Cambridge University in England, and a combined MBA from Harvard Business School and Stanford Graduate School of Business.

 
  


Sheila Burke
Director, The Chubb Corporation
Director, WellPoint, Inc

Sheila P. Burke, Faculty Research Fellow, Malcolm Wiener Center for Social Policy, Member of Faculty, J.F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. From 2004 - 2007 Deputy Secretary and Chief Operating Officer, Smithsonian Institution. Ms. Burke previously was Under Secretary for American Museums and National Programs, Smithsonian Institution, from June 2000 to December 2003 and Executive Dean and Lecturer in Public Policy of the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, from November 1996 until June 2000. Ms. Burke also serves on the boards of Wellpoint Inc., the Kaiser Commission on the Future of Medicaid and Uninsured, the Georgetown University School of Nursing and Health Studies and the Partnership for Public Service. Ms. Burke also serves as Chair of the Kaiser Family Foundation.


 
 



Emily Liggett
Chair, Nominating/Governance Committee, Immersion Corporation

Emily is an experienced technology entrepreneur and CEO. Her passion is to successfully commercialize new technology-based products, which she has done many times in her 30-year career. Emily's industry experience spans software, computer peripherals, clean tech, telecommunications, energy, materials and electronic components. She has lived and operated in the US, Australia, Belgium, Switzerland and Japan.

For the past six years, Emily has become an accomplished interim CEO, evaluating and turning around challenging businesses. She and her husband David also have four children and are active in their local schools and church. Emily attributes much of her success to what she has learned as a parent and how to keep on eye on the long-term goal while choosing battles wisely.

Emily is currently on the boards of Immersion Corporation (IMMR) where she is chair of the Nominating/Governance Committee and Textronics Inc (privately held). She also has board experience with Capstone Turbine (CPST), Apexon Inc (privately held), Touch Panel Systems (privately held) and Today's Youth Matters (non-profit).

Emily has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and an MSMSE and MBA from Stanford University.

Eunice Azzani

Senior Client Partner, Korn/Ferry International

Ms. Azzani is a Senior Client Partner in the San Francisco office of Korn/Ferry International. She joined the firm as Director of Research for the Northwest Region in 1985 and became a Managing Director in 1990. A seasoned consultant with over 25 years’ experience in professional service organizations, she has conducted and managed searches for “out-of-the-box” executives in both corporate and nonprofit organizations.

Ms. Azzani is a lead member of the firm’s diversity program, whose purpose is to identify and track key women and minority executives. Over the past 22 years, she has placed outstanding women and minority professional into prominent positions in the non-for-profit and corporate sectors.

She serves on the boards of City College Foundation, SFWorks, and YMCA of San Francisco. She was the 1999 Chair of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce. In 1997, she was awarded the Eleanor Reynolds Award from the Association for Executive Search Consultants, for combining excellence in search with commitment to volunteerism. In 1995, she also received the “Women Who Make A Difference Award” from the San Francisco Commission on the Status of Women.

Ms. Azzani earned an MLS from Texas Woman's University and a BA from Texas Tech University.
